Traffic.

Today started with a me having to race with time and beating traffic.  The traffic seem to have gotten worst and worst.  I can't wait for them to finish the overpass they're constructing.  They said a few moths ago that by July 2008 the overpass would be ready to use, by the looks of it, I think it will take a miracle for them to be able to finish it this month.

Driving makes me angry especially when the traffic is so bad and you have to deal with rude drivers.  I, however, have learned to somehow adapt the ways of rough driving thanks to everything this City or Country has given me put up with.  Jeepney drivers who are the king of the roads, but ones they crash into you and they're at fault, all they can do is scratch they're head.  After that they'll give you a "pitty me" speech as they try to get off the hook easy with the damages and troubles caused... only in the Philippines.  Also two-lanes roads can easily be turned into a three or four-lane road anytime.  Motorcycles, oh you don't want me to get started on how they all just pop out on the side while your driving and all. Grrr.  Also there are those people who cross just about anywhere.  Even if there's a sky-walk nearby, they refuse to use it (due to laziness of climbing up I assume) and they'd rather endanger their lives crossing where no white parallel lines are painted (I am referring to the pedestrian if you still didn't get the clue)!  This whole driving thing makes me all stressed out and makes me feel/ look older than I ought to be.  As if school isn't giving me enough stress.

Anyways, this blog entry seems to be BAD enough, and my ramblings will most likely be pointless to most but I just wanted to get all those out and rant it away. Grrr.  These situations just got me all frustrated for the past few days.  Lucky enough, I know just the solution to avoid the morning traffic... waking up early!  Yes, I have to.  Annoying as it may be, at least I won't have to
drive like crazy and I can relax, I might also be able to save gas.

It'll be all good, soon... right?

La Mirada

A story I once began to write when I was in high school.  Lost my copy of it... but here I am, in attempts to re-write the story my high school classmates once loved, and I once dreamed of finishing to write.

(First attempts of this story goes way back to 3rd year high school, 2004.)

Inspired by the love that my classmate has for her boyfriend (now after 4 years or more, has become her ex-boyfriend).  The perfect girl, the obedient daughter, who later found herself in a hidden relationship with the boy.  Her principles and morals are now questioned and her loyalty tested.

La Mirada

One sunny summer day, Jacky wakes up.  She goes over the window to greet the day ahead of her while stretching her arms wide open.  As she peers down her glass window, a huge moving truck caught her eyes.  She has heard about the next door house being sold already after the Johnson's moved out and transferred to Ethemia.  Jacky observed the cargo as it was being unloaded.  She sees two couples standing just at the side of the back opening of the truck as they watch their belongings being unloaded.  Everything they unloaded seemed to be the typical house particulars one would expect from a couple, until somethings were different.  A bunk bed with a blue mattress still in plastic was rid off the cargo, along with a small blue pony ride the kind that babies have, a ball, a baseball bat, a dart board, and a foosball table.  She then figured they had a little boy.

Jacky then washed up her face and brushed her teeth.  She tied her hair up as to rid of the morning hair do and hurried down the stairs.  She grabbed and apple on the table and joined her father as he walks out to greet the new neighbors.   Bitting the apple she had one her hand, Jacky greets the couple with a smile.

"Hello there! We're the Loretto's." Jacky's father greeted, extending his hand as to offer the couple a handshake. "This is my daughter Jacky." He then quickly added.   "We're the Garcia's, we just moved here from Riverdale.  I was re-assigned by the company." "And we were lucky to have found this house for sale in such a lovely village." Mrs. Garcia added.  "I'm sure you'll love it here. It's a pretty nice neighborhood. Well, we'll leave you guys to do your unpacking and just give us a knock on the door if you need anything." My dad answered back.

In the house, come breakfast time, "We should probably bring over some breakfast for the Garcia's, they probably can't prepare anything yet, with all their stuff still packed" my dad said while swallows a mouthful of rice and hotdogs.  "Yea, I'll bring them something over after I eat. Manang can you please prepare more hotdogs and some eggs so I can bring them over to the Garcia's.  And rice too, please." I yelled at Manang our house help who was still busy in the kitchen.  I shared to my dad "I think the Garcia's have a little boy.  I was hoping you'd allow me to ask them if I could baby-sit for them anytime they needed me to this summer."  I was not in it for the money, if they offered to pay that would be nice too, but I was just fond of kids.  It would also be like having a little brother, I am the only child after all.  After my mother gave birth to me, due to some complication she was taken away and gone.

To Her Who Left

POST TAKEN FROMhttp://pringles08.livejournal.com/

February 2008

Like dead leaves on an autumn day
I find myself in great dismay
I lost you, I lost myself
Now no joy is ever felt

Like withered flowers,
Your love has gone

At first so beautiful, so pleasant
But now has left me longing

Like the dead you are gone
Your haunting presence left behind
All my love I have shown
Now I see why love is blind

My beloved, my friend
I loved you, truly and deeply
My beloved, my friend
You were never mine to begin with

=======================================================================

I made this for a friend.  We were to make poems about "love" and recite it at our Literature2 class.
My friend was heart broken during these times.  I placed myself in his shoes and was able to come
up with this on the spot.  I guess all the heavy emotions I started to feel for him (putting myself in
his place), kind of help me go through making this impromptu.  The title was by my friend who
recited/presented this in class, the one I was feeling for.

It was a sunny day at school and I had an hour break before class and I finished lunch early
that day.

This was composed around early February, Valentine's/ Love month, what with the theme and all.

My Antique Love

06.26.2008

Old and gray-haired
I look at him smile
As I stare at his bright face and also smile back
Pictures in my head start to cloud

Way before, when we were young
Two of us together?
It was something I couldn't imagine
We got along quiet well
From good friends to best friends
And everything was swell

After sometime, somethings have changed
We found each other falling
Falling in love
And we both set our course
To a whirlwind romance

Up to this day
I'm still deeply in love
The man I vowed to love and cherish,
60 years after has passed,
And now I'm sure to say
This love's bound to last.

======================================================================

It was the first time I went in to my IT34 class, since I was enrolled into that class a week late.  I was sitting at the back and I was bored.  I just finished reading my book "Angle's Choice" and I had nothing to do.  I started to write and came up with this.  Inspired by my daydreaming that my boyfriend and I will grow old together.  The title was given by my seat mate.  He read my poem after I made it and I wasn't really used to people reading my work, so I asked him to do the honor of giving the title. haha.

It's been a long time since I wrote poems, so I guess this ones not such a bad start.  I hope to do more post in the future.

What your first name means:

LatinFemaleGod is gracious. Feminine form of John (from the Latin Johanna).

Your number is: 1
The characteristics of #1 are: Initiating action, pioneering, leading, independent, attaining, individual.

The expression or destiny for #1:
A number 1 Expression denotes the skilled executive with keen administrative capabilities. You must develop the capacity to be a fine leader, sales executive, or promoter. You have the tools to become an original person with a creative approach to problem solving, and a penchant for initiating action. Someone may have to follow behind you to handle the details, but you know how to get things going and make things happen. You have a good mind and the ability to use it for your advancement. Because of these factors, you have much potential for achievement and financial rewards. Frequently, this expression belongs to one running a business or striving to achieve a level of accomplishment on ones talents and efforts. You have little need for much supervision, preferring to act on your own with little restraint. You are both ambitious and determined. Self-confident and self-reliant must be yours, as you develop a strong unyielding will and the courage of your convictions.

Although you fear loneliness, you want to be left alone. You fear routine and being in a rut. You often jump the gun because you are afraid of being left behind.
The negative attributes of the 1 Expression are egotism and a self-centered approach to life. This is an aggressive number and if it is over-emphasized it is very hard to live with. You do not have to be overly aggressive to fulfill your destiny. The 1 has a natural instinct to dominate and to be the boss; adhering to the concept of being number One. Again, you do not have to dominate and destroy in order to lead and manage.

Highly analytical, you can see your way through all sorts of situations and generally have a clear understanding of the issues. You are a very honest, sincere, and conscientious individual.

The negative side of the 4 is rigid, stubborn and somewhat narrow-minded. There is a tendency to hide feelings, or to really not be aware of real feelings. Avoid being too rigid and stubborn in your thinking, and try to always see the big picture rather than becoming to involved with the detail. Don't be afraid to take a chance once in awhile.

Your Inner Dream number is: 6

An Inner Dream number of 6 means:
You dream of guiding and fostering the perfect family in the perfect home. You crave the devotion from offspring and a loving spouse. You picture yourself in the center of a successful domestic unit.
