Best Friend

POST TAKEN FROMprivate multiply account

Best Friend

To the one I knew so well
Hello there! How are you?
Has life been treating you well?
I’m glad we met again

To the one I knew so well
It was years of friendship we had made
Then the time came, both of us parted
It was a bitter goodbye

To the one I knew so well
We both shared everything before
But after those goodbyes we left
Then we never heard of each other

To the one I knew so well
You thought you knew me well too, didn’t you?
But how come you never felt
I loved you more than just a friend

To the one I knew so well
Years apart really do a lot
Now you’re married
I find myself in an awkward spot

To the one I knew so well
It was nice seeing you again
The pain I felt over the years never felt more real
Now I bid you once again, farewell

This is about two best friends who knew each other so well. The day they had to part came. They met again one day. The friend finally told his bests friend how he truly felt since before, sadly, it was too late, she was married. So they parted ways once again. [09.26.07]

Faded Pictures, Enjoy It

07.13.08

One day as I cleaned out my table
Pictures of old days revealed themselves
I got carried to the past, feeling unstable
Feeling numb, sitting across the shelves

The past had bigger and brighter smiles
As painted on the pictures as evidence
But now my mind wonders off for miles
Thinking in the deep solitude and silence

What was in the past?
Why were we all happier then?
What was that reason I just can't grasp?
Why this sadness all of the sudden?

I thought, and re-thought things in my head
Suddenly words scribbled in, something that read:
Before we had less, each ones company was a lot of worth
But now we're just preoccupied with all the unnecessary work.

All too busy to have fun, be cheerful, and be happy
I now get that we've all been too exhausted by the world
We've all been in such a big rush
We fail to see and enjoy the beauty that surround us

Enjoy it every chance you get
Enjoy it before you all regret
Enjoy it before the world gives you your death
Enjoy it while you still have your breath

To Her Who Left

POST TAKEN FROMhttp://pringles08.livejournal.com/

February 2008

Like dead leaves on an autumn day
I find myself in great dismay
I lost you, I lost myself
Now no joy is ever felt

Like withered flowers,
Your love has gone

At first so beautiful, so pleasant
But now has left me longing

Like the dead you are gone
Your haunting presence left behind
All my love I have shown
Now I see why love is blind

My beloved, my friend
I loved you, truly and deeply
My beloved, my friend
You were never mine to begin with

=======================================================================

I made this for a friend.  We were to make poems about "love" and recite it at our Literature2 class.
My friend was heart broken during these times.  I placed myself in his shoes and was able to come
up with this on the spot.  I guess all the heavy emotions I started to feel for him (putting myself in
his place), kind of help me go through making this impromptu.  The title was by my friend who
recited/presented this in class, the one I was feeling for.

It was a sunny day at school and I had an hour break before class and I finished lunch early
that day.

This was composed around early February, Valentine's/ Love month, what with the theme and all.

My Antique Love

POST TAKEN FROMhttp://pringles08.livejournal.com/

06.26.2008

Old and gray-haired
I look at him smile
As I stare at his bright face and also smile back
Pictures in my head start to cloud

Way before, when we were young
Two of us together?
It was something I couldn't imagine
We got along quiet well
From good friends to best friends
And everything was swell

After sometime, somethings have changed
We found each other falling
Falling in love
And we both set our course
To a whirlwind romance

Up to this day
I'm still deeply in love
The man I vowed to love and cherish,
60 years after has passed,
And now I'm sure to say
This love's bound to last.

======================================================================

It was the first time I went in to my IT34 class, since I was enrolled into that class a week late.  I was sitting at the back and I was bored.  I just finished reading my book "Angle's Choice" and I had nothing to do.  I started to write and came up with this.  Inspired by my daydreaming that my boyfriend and I will grow old together.  The title was given by my seat mate.  He read my poem after I made it and I wasn't really used to people reading my work, so I asked him to do the honor of giving the title. haha.

It's been a long time since I wrote poems, so I guess this ones not such a bad start.  I hope to do more post in the future.

I'm jealous of every girl who has ever hugged you,
because for that one moment
they held my entire world.
Tears are like kisses,
the only real ones are those you
can't hold back.
Never make someone your everything,
because when they are gone,
you'll have nothing.
You will never know true pain
until you look into the eyes
of someone you love, and they look away.
The scars are nothing compared to the pain
that placed them there.
Goodbye is only painful
when you know you can never
say hello again.
How can you learn from your mistakes
 when mistakes are all
you've ever made.
 What's the point in living
when the ones you love the most
refuse to love you.
Break my heart
and tell me lies, because eventually
every heart dies

-Michelle Mace-

But the last two lines
I just despise,
for I can see true love
in his forever loving eyes. :]
